A heavy slab-serif design with compact, typewriter-like proportions and strongly bracketed serifs. Strokes are thick and mostly uniform, but the contours are intentionally roughened, with uneven edges, small bites, and occasional ink-like blobs that create a worn print texture. Counters are fairly open and simple, with sturdy verticals and blunt terminals; the overall rhythm reads steady and mechanical despite the distressed surface. The figures follow the same rugged construction, with chunky curves and softened, irregular corners.

Works best for display settings where texture is desirable: posters, covers, branding accents, packaging labels, and short editorial headlines. It can also add atmosphere to captions or pull quotes when used with generous size and spacing, especially in monochrome or high-contrast layouts.

The font evokes the look of stamped or typed copy that’s been photocopied, weathered, or printed on absorbent paper. Its tone feels utilitarian and documentary, with a gritty, analog character that suggests archives, underground flyers, and rough production processes.

The design appears intended to combine a classic typewriter/slab framework with deliberate wear and ink spread to simulate imperfect printing. It prioritizes mood and materiality—suggesting age, friction, and reproduction—while keeping letterforms sturdy and readable.

The distressing is consistent across letters and numbers, producing a convincing ‘imperfect impression’ without collapsing the underlying shapes. At larger sizes the texture becomes a defining feature, while at smaller sizes it can read as grain or noise depending on background contrast.
