A robust serif with strongly bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The letterforms are upright and steady, with broad proportions and generous counters that keep the shapes open even at heavy weight. Terminals alternate between crisp, squared finishes and rounded ball-like endings (notably in lowercase), creating a lively but controlled rhythm. Curves are full and slightly flattened at stress points, while joins and diagonals stay clean and decisive for a crisp page color in text.

Well suited to editorial design, book and long-form typography where a classic serif voice is desired, especially for headings and subheads. The sturdy forms also work effectively in magazine layouts, posters, and brand applications that need a traditional, high-impact typographic tone.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with an editorial seriousness suited to structured reading. Its weight and contrast add a sense of confidence and gravitas, while the rounded terminals soften the voice just enough to feel approachable rather than severe.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with added visual authority through heavier strokes and emphatic serifs. It aims to balance classic text-type cues with enough contrast and detailing to perform strongly in display sizes and prominent editorial hierarchies.

In running text, the font produces a dark, even texture with clear word shapes and strong punctuation presence. Numerals are weighty and legible, matching the texture of the letters and holding up well in prominent settings.
