A heavy, display-oriented roman with pronounced vertical stress and crisp, tapered joins. Strokes swing between thick stems and hairline-like connections, creating sharp contrast and a sculpted, inked look. Round letters show deep internal cut-ins and wedge-like terminals that make bowls feel chiseled rather than purely geometric. Lowercase forms are sturdy and compact, with a single-storey “a,” a double-storey “g,” and a “t” featuring a distinct top bar and curved foot. Numerals are similarly weighty with elegant thinning in curves, keeping a consistent rhythm across the set.

Best suited for large sizes where the contrast and sculpted terminals can read clearly—headlines, poster typography, magazine titles, book covers, and bold branding wordmarks. It can work for short pull quotes or subheads, but the dense texture may feel heavy for long body text at smaller sizes.

The overall tone is commanding and theatrical, with a strong editorial presence. Its dramatic contrast and carved curves suggest a classic, slightly retro sensibility—confident, formal, and attention-grabbing rather than neutral.

The design appears intended to deliver a high-impact, print-classic voice: modern enough to feel clean, but with traditional contrast and tapered detailing that emphasizes sophistication and drama in display settings.

Counters tend to be relatively tight for the weight, which intensifies the dark color on the page. Diagonals in letters like K, V, W, X and Y thin noticeably toward joins, and several forms show subtle teardrop/ball-like endings that add a traditional, print-like flavor.
