This serif shows a transitional-to-oldstyle construction with gently flared stroke endings and subtly bracketed serifs. Curves are smooth and generous (notably in O/C/G), with moderate stroke modulation and crisp, sharp terminals. The lowercase has a traditional rhythm with a two-storey a and g, a compact, pointed-shoulder n/m, and a wedge-like t top; the italic is not shown and the roman keeps a steady, upright stance. Numerals are lining and text-like in feel, with clear differentiation and a slightly calligraphic taper in joins and terminals.

It suits editorial typography and book work where a traditional serif texture is desired, and it scales well into dignified headlines and chapter titling. The clear lining figures and sturdy capitals also make it appropriate for refined branding, invitations, and institutional materials where a classic voice is preferred.

The overall tone is classical and bookish, conveying an established, literary voice with a hint of ceremonial formality. Its flared endings and controlled contrast add a crafted, traditional warmth rather than a purely mechanical or modern neutrality.

The type appears designed to deliver a timeless reading experience with a subtly calligraphic finish, using flared stroke endings and moderate contrast to evoke heritage and authority while remaining clean and legible in text.

The design balances sharp details (spurs, beaks, and tapered terminals) with open counters, helping maintain clarity in continuous text. Uppercase proportions feel stately and slightly wide, while the lowercase keeps a steady, readable texture that supports long-form setting.
