This typeface is an old-style serif with a consistent rightward slant and a distinctly calligraphic build. Strokes show moderate contrast with gently modulated thick–thin transitions and an oblique stress, producing a lively, hand-guided rhythm across words. Serifs are small and bracketed, often reading as wedge-like feet and tapering entry strokes rather than sharp, rigid slabs. Curves are broad and slightly irregular in an intentional way, with softly flared terminals and a flowing baseline presence; the capitals feel sturdy and slightly narrow compared with the more fluid, varied lowercase.

It suits long-form reading and editorial typography where a warm, traditional texture is desirable, and it can also carry elegant headlines, pull quotes, and chapter openers. The expressive italic character makes it a strong choice for emphasis in body text, as well as for invitations, programs, and other formal print materials that benefit from a classic, human touch.

The overall tone is literary and cultivated, with a warm, human voice that recalls traditional book typography and formal correspondence. The italic slant and softened details add an expressive, slightly romantic character without becoming ornamental or overly delicate.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib and pen-written cues into a readable, workhorse serif, balancing classical proportions with a lively slanted rhythm. Its moderated contrast and bracketed serifs aim for comfort and continuity in text while preserving a distinctly crafted, historical flavor.

The lowercase shows noticeably varied silhouettes (especially in forms like a, e, g, and y), which enhances texture in continuous text. Numerals follow the same calligraphic modulation and feel comfortable in running copy, with a gentle, old-style sensibility rather than geometric rigidity.
