This serif shows sculpted, high-contrast letterforms with thick main strokes and sharply tapered hairlines. Serifs are bracketed and crisp, with a slightly calligraphic, engraved feel created by pointed terminals and subtle flaring at stroke ends. The proportions read generously set and solid, with broad capitals and sturdy, round lowercases; counters are open and the joins are clean. Numerals and capitals carry strong vertical emphasis and a polished, display-ready finish while still retaining text-serif conventions.

It performs best in headlines, deck text, and other prominent applications where its contrast and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It can also support editorial titling, book or magazine covers, and brand marks that want a classic, premium voice; in longer passages it will read as bold and attention-forward rather than quiet body text.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a dramatic, editorial edge. It feels confident and slightly ceremonial, suited to messaging that wants to look established and premium rather than casual or technical.

The design appears intended to modernize a conventional text-serif base with heightened contrast and crisp finishing, producing a confident, print-like voice that remains familiar while adding display-level impact.

Round letters like O/C and the bowls of B/P/R show pronounced thick–thin modulation, and several lowercase forms exhibit distinctive ball-like terminals and sharp ear/arm endings that add character. In paragraph setting, the dark color and emphatic stroke contrast create a strong typographic presence, especially at larger sizes.
