A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a slightly calligraphic stress that gives curves a sculpted, chiseled feel. Stems are sturdy while hairlines thin noticeably, producing clear light–dark rhythm in both text and display sizes. Capitals show classical proportions with confident verticals and carefully shaped joins; round letters keep generous internal space, and the uppercase Q features a distinctive, sweeping tail. Lowercase forms are compact and steady, with a two-storey a and g, a narrow, pointed k, and a lively italic-like ear on the g that adds personality without breaking consistency. Numerals are lining-style and sharply finished, with pronounced contrast and angled terminals that match the letterforms.

Well suited to long-form reading such as books and editorial layouts where crisp contrast and classic proportions support a refined typographic voice. It also performs well for magazine headlines, pull quotes, and sophisticated branding that benefits from a traditional serif presence.

The overall tone is bookish and editorial, projecting tradition and credibility with a polished, slightly dramatic finish. Its contrast and crisp detailing feel formal and composed, while subtle calligraphic touches keep it from reading as purely mechanical.

The font appears designed as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and classic detailing, aiming to balance readability with an elegant, authoritative tone. Its controlled rhythm and carefully drawn terminals suggest an intention to work reliably in paragraphs while still offering enough character for prominent titles.

The design maintains strong alignment and even spacing in running text, with clear differentiation between similar shapes (I, J, l, and 1) aided by serifs and distinct terminals. Curves and diagonals are handled with controlled tension, and the serif treatment stays consistent across capitals, lowercase, and numerals for a unified page color.
