This is a slanted, high-contrast serif with strongly bracketed, tapered serifs and a distinctly calligraphic stroke modulation. Letters show pronounced thick–thin transitions, with weight concentrated in main stems and bowls and hairline-like connections and terminals. The design favors broad, slightly expanded proportions and a steady, traditional rhythm, while keeping edges crisp and silhouettes robust at display sizes. Lowercase forms lean toward oldstyle behavior with a two-storey “g,” a lively “f,” and a looped descender on “j,” and figures carry the same high-contrast, serifed treatment.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and short-to-medium editorial passages where high contrast and an italic stance can add emphasis and character. It would work well for book covers, magazine features, posters, and pull quotes, especially when a classic serif voice is desired with extra motion and flair.

The overall tone feels traditional and literary, with a confident, slightly theatrical slant that reads as refined and expressive rather than neutral. Its contrast and swelling curves evoke an editorial, bookish voice with a touch of vintage formality.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading experience infused with italic calligraphic energy—balancing tradition with heightened contrast and expressive terminals to create strong typographic color in display and editorial settings.

Capital forms are sturdy and slightly wide, with strong serif presence and controlled curvature; the “Q” features a prominent, sweeping tail. The italic slant is consistent across cases, and the stress and contrast remain stable from capitals through numerals, giving paragraphs a cohesive, energetic texture.
