A high-contrast serif with a hand-inked, slightly distressed finish. Strokes swell and taper with calligraphic modulation, and many terminals end in small wedge-like or flared serifs that feel carved rather than mechanically drawn. Edges are intentionally uneven, with subtle notches and waviness along stems and bowls that give the letters a printed-from-type or brushed-ink texture. Proportions are compact and sturdy, with rounded counters and a lively, irregular rhythm that remains consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, posters, book covers, and identity work where the rough, inked details can be appreciated. It can also work for short passages or pull quotes when a period or handcrafted tone is desired, but the distressed edges and strong modulation favor moderate-to-large sizes over dense continuous text.

The font projects an antique, folky character—part historical display face, part rough letterpress impression. Its textured contours and punchy contrast create a theatrical, slightly gothic mood that reads as handmade and expressive rather than polished. Overall it feels suited to evocative, narrative-driven typography with a touch of grit.

The design appears intended to evoke old-style, calligraphic serif traditions while adding a weathered, printed texture for atmosphere. It prioritizes character and historical flavor over clinical uniformity, aiming for a bold, memorable voice in editorial and promotional typography.

Uppercase forms are strong and blocky with prominent internal shapes, while lowercase maintains readable, old-style flavor through rounded forms and flowing joins. Figures follow the same ink-worn treatment, giving numerals a cohesive presence for headings or labels. The texture is uniform enough to feel intentional, but it will become more apparent at larger sizes where the roughness can function as a key stylistic feature.
