A lightly weighted serif with pronounced stroke modulation and a narrow, vertically oriented build. Serifs are small and sharply bracketed, with tapered terminals that often end in slightly flared, ink-trap-like points, creating a subtly rough, printed texture. Curves and diagonals show gentle calligraphic inflection rather than geometric regularity, and spacing feels compact with an overall tight rhythm. The lowercase sits on a relatively low x-height with tall ascenders and modest bowls, producing a classic, bookish color on the page.

Well-suited to book and editorial typography where a classical, print-era texture is desired, especially in headings, pull quotes, and short passages. It also works for historical or literary branding, museum or archival materials, and formal invitations where a crafted, old-world tone complements the content.

The tone is antique and literary, recalling early printing and hand-inked letterforms without leaning into heavy ornament. Its uneven edges and crisp serifs add a tactile, crafted feel that reads as historical, thoughtful, and slightly dramatic.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional, calligraphy-influenced serif printing with a refined but slightly imperfect surface, prioritizing character and period atmosphere over strict mechanical uniformity.

Capitals are stately and relatively restrained, with narrow proportions and sharp detailing that becomes more apparent at larger sizes. Numerals and punctuation follow the same pen-influenced logic, contributing to a consistent, period-evocative texture across mixed text.
