A compact, display-oriented serif with pronounced contrast and sculpted, flared stroke endings. Stems swell into wedge-like terminals and bracketed serifs, producing a carved, ink-trap-like silhouette in places and a strong light–dark rhythm across words. Counters are moderately tight and the joins are robust, with a consistent, slightly calligraphic modulation that shows in curves and diagonals. The lowercase maintains a traditional proportion with clear ascenders/descenders, while capitals are broad and weighty, giving lines a dense, poster-ready texture. Numerals match the heavy, high-contrast color and feel optically aligned with the text figures shown in the specimen.

Well suited to headlines, magazine display typography, book and album covers, and brand marks that need a classic but forceful serif voice. It can also work for short, punchy subheads and pull quotes where its dark texture and flared details can be appreciated.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a dramatic, editorial presence. Its flared detailing adds a crafted, engraved feel that reads as premium and authoritative rather than neutral or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, premium serif for display use, combining traditional letterform structure with flared, sculptural terminals to increase visual punch and add a crafted, engraved character.

At larger sizes the sharp internal notches and tapered terminals become a defining character feature, creating crisp word shapes and strong emphasis. In continuous setting the dense stroke color and tight apertures suggest it is best used where impact and hierarchy are prioritized over airy readability.
