A high-contrast serif with strong thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are predominantly bracketed with a subtly flared, chiseled feel that adds a calligraphic edge to the otherwise conventional construction. Uppercase forms are stately and broad with generous curves (notably in C, G, O, Q), while lowercase combines sturdy verticals with sharply thinning joins and small, neat counters. The overall rhythm is assertive: heavy main strokes, hairline-like connections, and compact internal spaces that create a dense, graphic texture in text.

Best suited to headlines, magazine layouts, and other editorial applications where its contrast and dense color can command attention. It can work well for book covers and premium branding, especially when set with comfortable leading and not-too-tight tracking to preserve the sharp joins and small counters.

The tone is polished and editorial, projecting authority and sophistication with a touch of drama. It feels suited to cultured, high-end contexts—serious rather than playful—where contrast and sculpted details can read as refined and intentional.

The design appears intended to modernize a classic text-serif model with heightened contrast and more sculptural terminals, creating a font that feels traditional in structure yet distinctly impactful in contemporary display typography.

Curved letters show pronounced swelling into main stems and tight apertures in places, which boosts presence at display sizes. Numerals follow the same sculpted contrast and serif treatment, with an old-world, print-forward flavor that pairs well with the font’s dense color.
