A conventional serif with pronounced stroke contrast and crisp, bracketed serifs. Curves show a calligraphic stress, with tapered joins and sharpened, slightly flared terminals that keep counters open and legible. Uppercase forms feel stately and measured, while the lowercase introduces more humanist rhythm—noticeable in the double-storey a, the ear on g, and the elegant, slightly sweeping tail on Q. Numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and more text-like proportions, reinforcing a bookish, continuous reading texture.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for formal invitations, cultural institutions, and refined headlines, especially when you want a classic voice with crisp detail.

The overall tone is classic and cultured, with a distinctly literary, editorial voice. Its sharp finishing details and traditional proportions suggest seriousness and authority rather than playfulness, while the lively lowercase keeps it from feeling overly rigid.

The design appears intended to deliver a familiar, traditional text-serif experience with high-contrast elegance and durable readability. It balances formal, authoritative capitals with a more animated lowercase to maintain rhythm and clarity across continuous text.

In text, the face builds an even paragraph color despite the high contrast, with clear differentiation between similar shapes (e.g., I/J, O/Q) and a strong baseline presence. The punctuation and caps hold up well at larger sizes, where the cut of serifs and terminals becomes a defining visual feature.
