A heavy, condensed display face with irregular, distressed contours and a distinctly “torn” edge quality. Strokes are thick with chiseled, uneven sides, producing blotchy terminals and occasional spur-like protrusions rather than clean cuts. Counters are small and inconsistent, and the overall rhythm is tight and vertical, with slightly varying widths across letters that adds to the handmade, worn-in feel. Numerals and capitals maintain a consistent mass and texture, keeping the set cohesive despite the intentionally rough silhouette.

Best suited for short, high-impact display settings such as horror and Halloween headlines, poster titling, cover art, and thematic branding where texture is an asset. It works well when given generous size and spacing so the distressed details read clearly, and it pairs effectively with simpler supporting text for contrast.

The texture and jagged edges read as ominous and gritty, evoking vintage horror ephemera, haunted-house signage, and creature-feature titles. Its roughened shapes suggest decay, darkness, and tension while still retaining enough structure to feel bold and assertive.

Designed to deliver instant atmosphere through extreme weight and a distressed, jagged texture, prioritizing mood and immediacy over neutral legibility. The letterforms aim to feel weathered and threatening, like inked or carved type that has been degraded over time.

The distressed perimeter is the main stylistic driver: edges look chewed, ink-blown, or eroded, which creates strong character at larger sizes but can reduce clarity in dense settings. Rounded letters (like O/C) keep their overall form, while corners and joins appear purposely uneven, reinforcing a handmade, unsettling tone.
