A very heavy serif with pronounced contrast and sculpted, wedge-like terminals. Serifs are sharply tapered and often triangular, with subtly bracketed joins that give the strokes a carved, chiseled feel rather than a flat slab. Bowls are compact and dense, counters are relatively small, and the overall color on the page is dark and emphatic. Uppercase forms are broad and stately, while lowercase shows sturdy, rounded structures with strong entry/exit shaping; figures follow the same bold, high-contrast rhythm.

Best suited for display typography such as headlines, cover lines, titles, and brand marks where its sharp, sculpted serif detailing can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial pull quotes or section openers where a traditional, authoritative voice is desired.
