A lively serif with moderately narrow proportions and a rhythmic, handwritten feel. Strokes show noticeable modulation with crisp joins and bracketed wedge-like serifs that flare into sharp, triangular terminals. Curves are slightly pinched in places, giving counters a subtly irregular, inked character, while capitals keep a steady vertical stance with expressive feet and beaks. Lowercase forms are compact with a normal x-height, distinctive ear and tail shapes, and a gently uneven texture that reads intentionally crafted rather than mechanical.

Well-suited to display settings such as book covers, chapter openers, posters, and branding where a classic voice with character is desirable. It can also work for editorial subheads and short passages when a textured, old-world tone is appropriate, especially at comfortable reading sizes.

The overall tone feels traditional and literary, but with a playful, slightly mischievous edge. Its sharp terminals and animated curves evoke old print, folklore, or theatrical ephemera rather than purely formal editorial typography.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, calligraphy-influenced serif forms with sharper, more graphic terminals and a slightly eccentric rhythm. It aims for readability while prioritizing a distinctive, story-driven personality for visible text.

Several glyphs lean into personality through exaggerated terminals and curling tails (notably in S, J, g, and y), which adds charm in headlines but also creates a more textured, less neutral color in paragraphs. Numerals follow the same calligraphic logic, with open curves and pronounced entry/exit strokes that keep the set cohesive.
