A compact serif with sturdy, dark strokes and sculpted flared terminals that broaden into wedge-like serifs. Curves are full but tightly controlled, and joins feel carved rather than drawn, giving counters a slightly pinched, oldstyle rhythm. The serifs are pointed and often bracketed into the stem, producing crisp edges on letters like E, F, T, and the diagonal forms. Lowercase shows a traditional, print-oriented build with a single-storey g, a prominent ear on g, and sturdy ascenders and descenders that keep texture dense and consistent.

This font is well suited to display typography where strong texture and a traditional serif voice are desirable—headlines, book and film titles, editorial openers, and statement typography on posters. It can also work for branding and packaging that benefit from a historic or authoritative tone, especially at larger sizes where the flared details read clearly.

The overall tone is classical and authoritative, with a slightly old-world, engraved flavor. Its tight proportions and pronounced serif treatment create a confident, editorial voice that reads as established and somewhat ceremonial rather than casual.

The design appears intended to combine classic serif conventions with more sculptural, flared stroke endings to increase presence and character. Its compact proportions and dense color suggest a focus on impactful display use while retaining a recognizably traditional typographic foundation.

The italic is not shown; all samples appear roman. Numerals and capitals carry the same flared, wedge-ended logic, maintaining a cohesive color across mixed-case setting and giving headings a strong, poster-like presence.
