A refined serif with sharply tapered hairlines and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and neatly finished, giving the outlines a crisp, drawn quality while keeping the overall rhythm smooth. Capitals are stately and well-proportioned with gently flared terminals and ample inner counters, and the lowercase follows an oldstyle pattern with a modest x-height and ascenders that read clearly above the body. Curves are clean and controlled (notably in C, G, O, and Q), and the numerals are elegant and varied in width, matching the text-like cadence of the letters.

Well-suited for book and long-form editorial typography where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for magazine features, cultural branding, and formal materials such as invitations or programs, particularly when set at sizes that protect the delicate hairlines.

The face conveys a classic, literary tone—measured, cultivated, and slightly formal. Its high-contrast strokes and tidy serif treatment suggest tradition and credibility rather than novelty, making it feel at home in editorial and institutional settings.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, readable serif with an elevated finish: strong contrast, carefully bracketed serifs, and proportions that lend authority and polish in continuous text as well as in headings.

Spacing appears comfortable in running text, with a steady baseline and consistent vertical stress that supports long-form reading. The punctuation and capitals hold a dignified presence at display sizes, while the fine hairlines call for sufficient size and print quality to preserve detail.
