A heavy slab-serif with broad, sturdy proportions and strongly bracketed serifs that read as rectangular “feet” and caps. Strokes are mostly even, with only slight modulation, creating a dense, poster-like color on the page. Counters are compact and the joins are firm, giving letters a stout, engineered feel; terminals tend to be blunt rather than tapered. Round forms (O, C, G) are full and smooth but remain weighty, and the lowercase maintains a solid, utilitarian rhythm with a two-storey a and single-storey g, plus a deep descender on j.

Best suited for headlines, title treatments, and short blocks where weight and presence are desirable—such as posters, packaging, storefront or wayfinding signage, and brand marks that need a solid, traditional backbone. It can also work for pull quotes and subheads when ample spacing and size are available to keep the dense texture from feeling crowded.

The tone is bold and dependable, with a classic, workmanlike character that evokes traditional print and signage. Its broad slabs and tight internal spaces add a no-nonsense, assertive voice while still feeling approachable due to its rounded bowls and consistent rhythm.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a traditional slab-serif structure: strong horizontals, firm bracketing, and a consistent stroke presence that holds up in bold display contexts. It prioritizes authority and legibility-by-mass, aiming for a timeless, print-forward aesthetic rather than a delicate or highly refined one.

In text, the strong horizontal serifs and compact counters create pronounced word shapes and a dark overall texture, favoring impactful sizes over delicate settings. Numerals match the letterforms in weight and squareness, reinforcing a cohesive, sturdy impression across mixed content.
