A robust serif with strong vertical stress and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with compact joins that keep counters relatively tight at heavier strokes. Curves show subtle ball-like terminals and tapered endings (notably in letters like C, S, and a), while diagonals in V/W/Y and the angled leg of R feel firm and squared-off rather than delicate. The lowercase presents a two-storey a and g, a sturdy, short-armed r, and a broad, stable rhythm in text; figures are weighty with oldstyle-like proportions and clear, high-contrast curves.

Well-suited to headlines and subheads where a traditional serif voice is desired, as well as editorial layouts and book-cover typography that benefits from a dense, authoritative texture. It can also serve in classic-leaning branding applications where strong contrast and conventional serif details communicate reliability and gravitas.

The tone reads classic and editorial, projecting authority and seriousness with a slightly old-world, bookish character. Its weight and contrast give it a confident, headline-forward presence while still feeling rooted in conventional text serif traditions.

The design appears intended to deliver a familiar, traditional serif feel with extra visual weight and contrast for impact, balancing classic book-type cues with bold display strength.

In the sample text, the heavy stems and bracketed serifs create a dark, even typographic color, especially at larger sizes. The punctuation and ampersand match the font’s sturdy construction, and the round letters maintain consistent contrast without appearing overly delicate.
