A heavy, condensed serif design with pronounced thick–thin modulation and compact letterfit. The forms lean on wedge-like, oldstyle-inspired serifs and slightly flared terminals, while counters stay relatively tight and rounded. Edges are intentionally irregular, with nicks and worn patches that mimic distressed printing or aged ink, producing a textured silhouette even at display sizes. Uppercase proportions are tall and sturdy, while the lowercase maintains a familiar, readable rhythm with distinctive, somewhat bulbous joins and bracketed serif transitions.

Best suited to posters, headlines, and titling where the distressed texture can read clearly and contribute to the message. It also fits book covers, event promos, and packaging/labels that aim for an aged, tactile, print-made impression. In longer passages, it will work most comfortably at larger sizes where the roughened edges don’t close up counters.

The overall tone feels vintage and gritty, like letterpress type that has seen repeated use. Its theatrical, slightly ominous texture gives it a noir or spooky-styled energy without becoming illegible, making it feel expressive and characterful rather than polished.

The design appears intended to blend a condensed, oldstyle serif structure with deliberate wear, recreating the look of imperfect, historically printed type. Its goal is to provide strong presence and period flavor while adding texture and atmosphere through controlled distressing.

Texture is applied consistently across letters and numerals, creating a cohesive worn look rather than random noise. The numerals share the same condensed, serifed construction and distressing, helping the set feel unified in headlines and short runs of copy.
