A slanted serif with lively, calligraphic construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show a slightly roughened, inked texture that gives edges a worn, printed feel rather than a clean vector finish. Curves carry an oblique stress and the joins are rounded, with modest contrast between thick and thin. Proportions are compact and readable, with sturdy capitals and a relatively large, open lowercase; counters stay generous even where forms get lively. Overall spacing feels even, while individual glyph shapes vary subtly to keep the rhythm organic.

Well suited to book covers, magazine/editorial typography, and historical or literary-themed headlines where an expressive italic voice is desired. The textured finish also works nicely for packaging, labels, and branding that aims for an artisanal or heritage feel. For long-form text it can serve as an accent italic or for pull quotes, especially when a warmer, more human tone is preferred.

The font conveys a warm, old-world tone—part classic bookish italic, part hand-inked craft. Its textured outlines add a nostalgic, imperfect charm that reads as traditional, approachable, and slightly rustic rather than formal or clinical.

The design appears intended to blend classic old-style italic proportions with a deliberately imperfect, inked surface—capturing the feel of printed ephemera or hand-rendered lettering while remaining coherent and readable in continuous text.

The italic angle is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, helping long lines maintain forward motion. The texture is noticeable at display sizes and will become subtler as sizes decrease, where the face reads more like a conventional old-style italic. Numerals match the italic flow and share the same softened, slightly distressed detailing.
