A conventional serif with pronounced stroke modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Curves are smooth and full, while verticals read firm and straight, creating a clear light–dark rhythm in both caps and lowercase. The capitals are broad and evenly proportioned, with sturdy horizontals and clean terminals; the lowercase shows rounded bowls, a two-storey “a,” and generally generous counters that keep the texture open in paragraph settings. Numerals follow the same serifed, high-contrast logic, balancing strong vertical stress with refined joins and terminals.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for magazine headlines, section titles, and brand applications that benefit from a traditional, refined typographic tone.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with a composed, authoritative voice suited to serious or polished messaging. Its contrast and sharp finishing give it a slightly upscale, editorial feel, while the familiar forms keep it approachable and readable.

The design appears intended as a reliable, conventional text serif that blends familiarity with a slightly elevated, high-contrast finish. It prioritizes legibility and a stable reading rhythm while providing enough sharpness and modulation to stand out in display sizes.

In the text sample the spacing and word shape feel steady and conventional, producing a consistent grayscale suitable for continuous reading. The sharper serifs and contrast become more prominent at larger sizes, lending emphasis and a structured presence to headlines and pull quotes.
