A high-contrast serif with pronounced vertical stress, pairing weighty stems with extremely fine hairlines. Serifs are sharp and mostly unbracketed, giving terminals a crisp, engraved feel. The proportions are fairly tall and disciplined, with compact counters and a steady, upright rhythm; round letters like O/C show thin top-and-bottom transitions, while diagonals (V/W/X) cut cleanly into the heavy verticals. In text, the strong thick–thin modulation creates a lively sparkle and clear hierarchy, especially in capitals and numerals.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, and editorial typography where high contrast can be shown at generous sizes. It also fits cover work and promotional materials that benefit from a classic, upscale voice; for longer passages, it will perform most comfortably with ample size, leading, and careful color management.

The overall tone is polished and authoritative, with a fashion-and-editorial sophistication. Its dramatic contrast reads as premium and ceremonial, lending a sense of tradition and formality without looking soft or rustic.

The design appears intended to evoke modernized classical engraving and Didone-inspired sophistication, focusing on dramatic thick–thin interplay and precise, sharp finishing. Its primary goal is to deliver strong typographic presence and refined hierarchy in display and editorial settings.

The figures are bold and display-oriented, with the 0 and 8 showing strong vertical emphasis and delicate inner joins. Lowercase forms keep a conventional structure (two-storey a, single-storey g), while punctuation and narrow joins appear delicate, reinforcing the font’s crisp, high-end character.
