A bold, high-contrast serif with bracketed serifs and compact, slightly irregular proportions. Strokes show noticeable roughening and inky breakup at edges and in some counters, as if from worn type, dry ink, or letterpress impression. Curves are sturdy and a bit lumpy, terminals are blunt, and spacing reads intentionally uneven, producing a lively, printed rhythm. Numerals and capitals carry the same textured, workmanlike finish, keeping the set visually cohesive in display sizes.

Best suited to short-form typography where texture and personality are assets—posters, headlines, packaging, labels, and cover titling. It can also work for pull quotes or section openers in editorial layouts when set with generous size and spacing to keep the distressed details readable.

The overall tone feels vintage and utilitarian, with a tactile, shop-worn presence that suggests analog printing and handmade signage. Its texture adds grit and character, giving headlines an immediate, lived-in authenticity rather than a polished contemporary sheen.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional serif typography through a deliberately weathered finish, combining classic letterforms with print-era imperfections. It prioritizes atmosphere and tactile character while maintaining enough structure to function as a strong display face.

In the text sample, the distressed texture becomes a defining feature, especially along vertical stems and at serif joins, where small chips and speckling create visual noise. The strong contrast and heavy weight help it hold up despite the texture, but the rough edges can reduce clarity at smaller sizes or in dense blocks.
