A rough, display-oriented serif with jagged, hand-cut edges and uneven stroke contours throughout. The letterforms keep mostly traditional proportions, but their outlines wobble and chip, creating a distressed, carved-ink look rather than clean geometry. Serifs are blunt and inconsistent, terminals often end in sharp wedges, and counters appear slightly pinched or irregular. Spacing feels lively and slightly uneven, reinforcing an organic rhythm, while numerals match the same torn-edge texture and modest contrast.

Best suited to short, prominent text where the distressed contours can be appreciated—titles, chapter heads, posters, and branding for horror or dark-fantasy themes. It can work for brief pull quotes or UI headers in atmospheric games, but will typically need generous size and tracking for comfortable reading.

The overall tone is ominous and archaic, like hand-lettering from a cursed manuscript or a weathered woodcut. Its rough texture and spiky terminals read as unsettling and ritualistic rather than playful, giving text a haunted, story-driven presence.

The design appears intended to evoke aged print and hand-cut lettering with a controlled, repeatable texture, delivering a spooky, antique mood while staying close enough to classic serif construction to remain readable as a display face.

In longer lines the texture becomes a strong visual component, with edges that look intentionally battered and ink-broken. Uppercase shapes remain fairly stable for headings, while lowercase forms vary more in silhouette, which adds character but can reduce clarity at small sizes.
