A calligraphy-leaning display face with narrow-to-wide stroke modulation and visibly rough, broken contours that mimic dry brush or worn printing. Forms are mostly upright with a gently wandering baseline and variable sidebearings, giving text a lively, uneven rhythm. Terminals often flare or taper into soft hooks, and bowls and counters stay open and slightly irregular. Capitals read as decorative and slightly condensed, while lowercase remains compact with a modest x-height and long, expressive ascenders and descenders.

Best suited to display typography where texture and personality are an asset: book covers, chapter openers, fantasy or historical-themed posters, game titles and UI accents, and craft-forward packaging or labels. It can work for short paragraphs when set with generous size and spacing, but it will be most effective in headings and pull quotes where the distressed stroke detail can breathe.

The overall tone feels old-world and literary, like ink on textured paper. Its distressed edges and expressive stroke endings suggest folklore, fantasy, and handmade craft rather than modern polish. The texture adds a subtle sense of grit and age, lending atmosphere and narrative character to short passages.

The design appears intended to evoke hand-inked lettering with a deliberately weathered finish, combining calligraphic contrast with imperfect edges for an aged, tactile impression. The goal seems to be expressive readability with a strong thematic voice rather than strict regularity.

In the sample text the texture remains present at reading sizes, creating a speckled edge that can visually thicken in dense settings. Irregular spacing and glyph-to-glyph width variation contribute to charm but may need extra tracking and careful line breaks for longer copy.
