A serifed display face with a hand-worn, eroded texture throughout the strokes. Letterforms show classical proportions and sharp, bracket-like terminals, but the outlines are intentionally irregular with nicks, burrs, and blotty breaks that create a rough print impression. Contrast is pronounced between thin hairlines and heavier stems, and curves (notably in C/O/Q) look slightly uneven as if pulled from distressed ink on paper. Spacing and sidebearings feel moderately open for a serif display, helping the busy edges remain readable in words.

Best suited for short display copy where texture is a feature: horror and mystery titles, book or zine covers, theatrical posters, tabletop/game branding, and atmospheric album art. It can also work for pull quotes or section headers when paired with a clean text face, but the distressed detail will benefit from generous sizes and contrasty printing.

The overall tone is aged and mysterious, like lettering from old broadsides, grimoires, or weathered signage. The distressed contours add grit and drama, pushing it toward gothic, arcane, and horror-leaning atmospheres while still retaining a literary, historical character.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif structure with deliberate wear—mimicking degraded letterpress, scratched ink, or aged paper to create instant atmosphere. It aims to signal history and unease without fully abandoning recognizable, classical letterform construction.

Uppercase forms read more formal and inscriptional, while the lowercase introduces more idiosyncrasy and texture, reinforcing a handmade/printed artifact feel. Numerals match the same worn treatment, with distinctive, slightly calligraphic silhouettes that suit display settings more than small UI sizes.
