A crisp, high-contrast serif with vertical stress and sharply tapered, bracketed serifs. Strokes shift quickly from thick stems to hairline joins, giving letters a chiseled, engraved feel while maintaining clear, conventional skeletons. Proportions are compact and relatively narrow, with tall capitals, tight interior counters, and a steady baseline rhythm. Lowercase forms show small, neat apertures and fine terminals, and numerals follow the same contrasty, old-style-influenced construction with slender horizontals and pronounced serifs.

Well suited to book typography, magazine layouts, and other editorial applications where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve in formal invitations, certificates, and titling where sharp serifs and strong contrast add gravitas. For longer passages, slightly increased letterspacing and comfortable leading can help maintain clarity.

The overall tone feels traditional and authoritative, suited to established institutions and literary contexts. Its contrast and sharp detailing add a refined, slightly dramatic flavor that reads as cultured and editorial rather than casual.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional text serif with a refined, high-contrast finish—balancing familiar Renaissance/Didone-leaning cues with compact, economical proportions for dense composition and elegant display.

At display sizes the hairlines and pointed terminals look especially crisp, while in smaller settings the dense spacing and fine details may call for generous tracking and solid printing conditions. The italic is not shown; the presented style relies on upright, formal letterforms for its character.
