This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, tapered joins and wedge-like, gently bracketed serifs that read as subtly flared at the stroke endings. Capitals are stately and fairly wide with strong vertical stress, while the lowercase has compact counters and a steady rhythm that keeps paragraphs looking dense and controlled. Curves are smoothly carved (notably in C, G, S, and the numerals), and terminals often resolve into sharp points or angled cuts, giving the face a chiseled, print-forward finish.

It performs especially well in display and editorial settings—headlines, pull quotes, magazine titles, and book-cover typography—where its contrast and sharp terminals can be appreciated. It can also support upscale branding or packaging when a classic serif voice is desired, particularly at medium to large sizes.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with an editorial polish that feels suited to serious reading. High contrast and sharp finishing details add a sense of refinement and ceremony, leaning more literary and institutional than casual or playful.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with more sculpted, flared endings for added bite and presence. It aims for a confident, print-centric texture that stays readable while projecting tradition and refinement.

Numerals and round letters carry a pronounced vertical stress and sculpted inner shapes that maintain color consistency at large sizes. The lowercase ‘g’ is single-storey and the ‘a’ is double-storey, contributing to a classic book-typographic feel while keeping the texture slightly idiosyncratic through pointed terminals and compact apertures.
