A condensed serif with tall proportions, compact sidebearings, and a steady vertical stress. Strokes show moderate thick–thin modulation, with sharp, well-defined terminals and bracketed wedge-like serifs that keep the joins smooth rather than abrupt. The lowercase forms are narrow and upright with a relatively even rhythm; counters stay small but open enough to remain legible, and round letters like o and e appear slightly oval. Numerals follow the same compressed, vertical pattern, reading clean and traditional in texture.

It works well for editorial environments where space is limited—magazines, newspapers, and book layouts needing narrow headings or subheads. The restrained contrast and conventional serif detailing also make it suitable for longer reading in moderate sizes, as well as captions and sidebars that benefit from a compact footprint.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, suggesting established editorial typography rather than display novelty. Its narrow, vertical stance adds a sense of efficiency and authority, creating a disciplined, slightly dramatic voice suited to formal settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice in a space-saving width, balancing classical detailing with a condensed architecture. It aims for a controlled, authoritative texture that holds up in continuous text while also giving headings a tall, composed silhouette.

In text, the font produces a dark, continuous color with pronounced vertical emphasis and tight spacing, which can heighten seriousness and economy on the page. The high, narrow capitals and compact lowercase give headlines a stately presence while preserving a traditional serif character.
