A dark, sturdy serif with wedge-like, calligraphic terminals and strongly bracketed joins. Strokes swell and taper with a subtly pen-driven rhythm, producing sharp spur details, notched corners, and occasional ink-trap-like cut-ins that give the forms a chiseled feel. Capitals are compact and weighty with pronounced top serifs, while lowercase shows lively asymmetry in letters like a, e, g, and s; counters are moderately open and the overall texture is dense and emphatic. Numerals match the text color with similarly flared terminals and sturdy curves, maintaining a consistent, carved-looking presence in running text.

Well-suited to display typography such as posters, book and album covers, mastheads, and section headers where its dark color and carved details can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial passages or pull quotes when a historic, literary voice is desired, especially at comfortable sizes and with adequate leading.

The tone reads historic and theatrical, with an old-world authority that suggests printed tradition and storytelling. Its sharp serifs and dark color create a sense of drama and ceremony, while the warm, hand-influenced modulation keeps it from feeling purely mechanical.

The design appears intended to blend old-style readability with expressive, calligraphy-driven serif shapes, delivering a traditional voice with heightened character for impactful titles and evocative text settings.

The face creates a strong horizontal rhythm through prominent head serifs and angled terminals, which can amplify presence at display sizes. In paragraphs, the dense color and distinctive spur details become part of the visual signature, giving text a Gothic-leaning, storybook flavor without fully entering blackletter.
