This typeface is a high-contrast serif with a pronounced rightward slant and sharply tapered, wedge-like serifs. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with crisp joins and pointed terminals, giving letters a carved, calligraphic feel. Proportions are fairly generous in width, with rounded bowls and energetic diagonals; capitals carry firm, sculpted silhouettes while the lowercase shows more movement through curved entry/exit strokes and occasional swash-like terminals. Numerals follow the same italicized, high-contrast logic, with open counters and brisk, angled stress.

It performs best in display and editorial roles such as headlines, subheads, pull quotes, book or magazine covers, and promotional materials where its high contrast and italic momentum can lead the layout. For longer text, it is more suitable for short passages or emphasis where its dramatic rhythm remains comfortable to read.

The overall tone is classic and assertive, blending traditional bookish authority with a theatrical, high-energy italic voice. Its sharp terminals and lively rhythm read as confident and slightly ornate, suited to expressive, attention-getting typography rather than quiet neutrality.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional serif foundation with an expressive italic character—combining traditional proportions and bracketed serifs with heightened contrast and sharp, calligraphy-informed terminals to produce a bold, attention-forward reading voice.

In text settings the strong slant and contrast create a distinct texture with clear word shapes, while the sharper details and tight internal joins can become visually busy at smaller sizes or in dense paragraphs. The design’s stress and pointed finishing strokes make it especially impactful when given room to breathe.
