This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp hairlines and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with sharp apexes (A, W) and rounded bowls that keep their counters open (B, O, P). The lowercase follows a traditional text rhythm with a moderate x-height, compact joins, and a two-storey “g” featuring a distinct ear. Numerals align in an old-style, slightly varied-width manner, and overall spacing feels measured, favoring a steady reading cadence.

It works well for book and long-form editorial typography where a traditional serif texture is desired, and it also scales convincingly for headlines and pull quotes thanks to its strong contrast and crisp details. It can suit formal communication pieces such as programs, invitations, and classic-style branding when a conventional, trustworthy voice is needed.

The tone is classical and literary, projecting authority and polish without feeling ornamental. Its contrast and sharp serifs lend a formal, editorial voice suited to serious content and traditional branding.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, high-contrast serif with a familiar reading rhythm—balancing sharp, well-defined serifs and elegant stroke modulation for a timeless text-and-display versatility.

Diagonal strokes (V, W, Y, v, w) show clean stress and tapered terminals, while the “Q” has a clear, elegant tail. The italic is not shown; the sample emphasizes a consistent upright color and a refined, print-like texture at larger sizes.
