A decorative display face built from slender, upright strokes interrupted by frequent thorn-like spikes and small triangular terminals. The letterforms echo blackletter structure in their vertical emphasis and broken, segmented strokes, but with a looser, more irregular rhythm and many protruding barbs. Curves are tight and slightly pinched, counters stay relatively open, and the overall texture is busy and prickly rather than smooth. Numerals follow the same spined construction, keeping the set visually consistent in tone and detail.

Best suited to short, prominent copy where its thorny detail can be appreciated: posters, title cards, album/track art, Halloween or haunted attraction materials, tabletop or video game titling, and brand marks that want a gothic-but-offbeat edge. It can also work for pull quotes or packaging accents when paired with a calmer companion face.

The font projects a dark, eccentric character—part gothic, part playful menace—where the sharp protrusions and uneven cadence create a spellbook or horror-prop feeling. It reads as intentionally odd and attention-grabbing, with a handcrafted, unsettling energy suited to dramatic or comedic macabre themes.

The design appears intended to remix blackletter-inspired forms into a more whimsical, spiked novelty style, prioritizing distinctive silhouette and mood over neutrality. Its consistent use of barbs and pointed terminals suggests a goal of immediate thematic signaling—dark, magical, or mischievous—at display sizes.

In running text the repeated spikes create strong visual noise, which makes the face feel best treated as a display style rather than a workhorse text font. Capitals carry extra flourish and presence, while lowercase maintains the same barbed motif for continuity.
