A high-contrast serif with sturdy verticals and sharply tapered hairlines, showing clearly bracketed, flared terminals that widen as strokes meet their serifs. The letterforms feel sculpted and slightly calligraphic: curves are full and controlled, joints are smoothly transitioned, and diagonals (V, W, Y) end in crisp, wedge-like tips. Capitals are stately with broad proportions and confident spacing, while the lowercase combines a rounded, two-storey a, compact apertures, and pronounced stroke modulation that adds sparkle in text. Figures appear lining with strong vertical emphasis and refined, bracketed finishing.

Best suited to display applications such as headlines, book and magazine titling, pull quotes, and refined brand marks where high contrast and flared finishing can be appreciated. It can also work for short passages or captions when set with comfortable size and spacing to preserve the thin strokes and crisp detail.

The font conveys an editorial, bookish tone—traditional and serious without feeling dull. Its sharp contrast and flared endings give it a polished, cultured voice suited to premium, print-minded typography.

The design appears intended to modernize classical serif conventions by pairing strong, readable structures with expressive flared terminals and crisp contrast for impactful, print-forward typography.

In the sample text, the rhythm is driven by dark vertical stems and bright, thin connections, producing a lively texture at display sizes. The flared stroke endings add presence and a slightly engraved feel, especially in capitals and numerals.
