A serif italic with calligraphic construction and visibly roughened outlines, as if inked on absorbent paper or pulled from worn letterpress type. Strokes show moderate contrast and tapered terminals, with wedge-like serifs and slightly irregular curves that create a lively, imperfect rhythm. Counters are open and forms stay readable, while the texture introduces subtle wobble and edge breakup that varies from glyph to glyph. Numerals and capitals keep a classic, old-style feel with angled stress and a gently uneven baseline presence.

Well suited to display and short-to-medium text where texture is desirable: book covers, period-style posters, craft packaging, café or spirits branding, and editorial headlines or pull quotes. It can also work in longer passages when set with comfortable size and leading, where the distressed detail reads as print character rather than noise.

The font conveys a vintage, tactile character—bookish and editorial, but with a weathered, handmade edge. Its texture suggests age, print wear, or rough inking, giving text a human, storied tone rather than a polished modern finish.

Likely designed to capture the flavor of a traditional serif italic while intentionally introducing worn, imperfect edges to evoke aged printing and analog texture. The goal appears to balance classic readability with a distinctive distressed surface for thematic, story-driven typography.

In the sample text, the italic slant and textured edges create noticeable movement across lines, producing a darker, more atmospheric color than a clean serif italic. At smaller sizes the distress can visually thicken joins and reduce crispness, while at medium to larger sizes the grain and rough terminals become a defining stylistic feature.
