A compact serif with a tall, condensed stance and lively, irregular edge treatment. Stems are largely straight and vertical, while many terminals split into forked, thorn-like serifs and small mid‑stem spurs that create a jagged silhouette. Curves (notably in C, G, O, S and the bowls of B/P/R) stay fairly smooth and rounded, contrasting with the sharp notches and pointed joins. Uppercase forms read assertive and columnar; lowercase is tight and short in the middle zone, with narrow apertures and a generally restrained, vertical rhythm. Numerals are simple and sturdy, with occasional angular cuts that match the text face’s spurred detailing.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, posters, book covers, and themed branding where a gothic or macabre atmosphere is desired. It can work for short editorial pulls or packaging accents, but the spurred detailing is most effective at larger sizes and in high-contrast print or screen contexts.

The overall tone is dark and theatrical, combining classic serif structure with a haunted, scratch-cut finish. It suggests gothic literature, occult ephemera, and suspenseful poster typography, delivering tension without becoming fully distressed or illegible.

The design appears intended to fuse traditional serif proportions with decorative, forked terminal gestures to evoke an antique, ominous mood. It prioritizes recognizable letterforms while adding sharp ornamental disruption for impact in display typography.

The spurs and forked terminals appear intentionally inconsistent in length and placement, giving the face a hand-carved, weathered energy while preserving clear letter skeletons. In text, the strong verticals and compact counters create a dense color that benefits from generous tracking and larger sizes.
