A slanted serif with bracketed, wedge-like terminals and a gently modulated stroke. The letterforms show calligraphic influence through angled joins, tapered entry strokes, and an overall forward-leaning rhythm. Proportions are balanced with a moderate x-height, open counters, and rounded bowls; spacing reads even in text while allowing lively shapes in the italics. Numerals follow the same italic, slightly tapered construction, with clear curves and crisp, serifed finishing strokes.

Well-suited to editorial and book settings where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or headings, and it can also carry refined display roles such as pull quotes, chapter openers, and formal stationery. Its open shapes and measured contrast help it remain readable in longer passages while still feeling polished at larger sizes.

The tone is traditional and bookish, with an elegant, cultivated feel that suggests established publishing and academic settings. The slant and subtle flourish add motion and refinement without becoming decorative, keeping the voice formal but warm.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, highly usable serif italic with classic proportions and restrained calligraphic character. It aims to balance clarity for continuous reading with enough movement and elegance to stand out in editorial typography.

Diagonal stress is noticeable in rounded letters, and many strokes terminate in small, sharp wedges that keep edges crisp at display sizes. Uppercase forms retain a stately presence, while the lowercase is more fluid and expressive, creating a strong typographic hierarchy in mixed-case text.
