A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, bracketed serifs. Capitals are sturdy and fairly broad with crisp terminals, while the lowercase shows a traditional oldstyle rhythm with teardrop/ball terminals on letters like a and f and a double-storey g. Curves are smoothly drawn and counters are moderately tight, giving the face a dark, decisive texture at text and display sizes. Numerals follow the same strong contrast and classic proportions, with clear shaping and firm baseline presence.

This font performs well for editorial headlines, chapter titles, pull quotes, and other prominent typography where contrast can add sophistication and emphasis.
