A high-contrast serif with a consistent italic slant and crisp, tapered strokes. Serifs are bracketed and finely pointed, with smooth transitions from thick stems to hairline cross-strokes that give the letterforms a carved, calligraphic feel. Proportions are traditional and slightly narrow in places, with rounded bowls and gently flowing joins; lowercase forms show oldstyle influences such as a two-storey “g” and a diagonal, descender “y”. Numerals follow the same contrast and modulation, reading as elegant rather than purely utilitarian.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, book interiors, and literary branding where an elegant italic voice is needed. It also works effectively for display applications—headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral like invitations or certificates—where its contrast and tapered detailing can be appreciated.

The overall tone is polished and bookish, projecting a sense of tradition, credibility, and tasteful formality. Its sharp contrast and italic movement add drama and sophistication, making it feel suited to cultured, editorial settings rather than purely neutral UI text.

Designed to deliver a classic italic serif voice with pronounced contrast and refined detailing, balancing traditional proportions with a smooth, calligraphic flow. The intent appears to be legible, conventional text styling with enough elegance and energy to carry editorial emphasis.

In the sample text, the strong thick–thin rhythm creates a lively texture at larger sizes, while the hairlines and pointed details suggest it will look best with adequate size and print-like rendering. The italic angle is steady across capitals, lowercase, and figures, producing a cohesive, forward-leaning cadence.
