A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a strongly vertical, upright stance. Serifs read as sharp, wedge-like and often subtly bracketed, giving stems a crisp entry and exit while keeping the overall silhouette clean. Curves are taut and high-contrast with clear vertical stress, and counters are relatively compact, producing a dense, authoritative color in text. The lowercase shows traditional proportions with a moderate x-height, a two-storey a and g, and rounded forms that terminate in small ball/teardrop details in places; numerals share the same high-contrast, display-leaning construction.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style headlines, pull quotes, and cover typography where high-contrast serifs can carry a sophisticated voice. It can also support formal branding, certificates, and invitations, and works best when given enough size or leading to prevent the dense texture from feeling too heavy in extended passages.

The tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority and tradition with a slightly theatrical edge from the strong contrast and pointed serif treatment. It feels suited to refined, formal messaging where a sense of heritage and confidence is desired.

The design appears intended as a traditional serif with heightened contrast for punch and refinement, combining familiar text-serif construction with sharper, more sculpted details for stronger presence in display and editorial settings.

Spacing and rhythm appear steady and conventional, with a slightly narrow feel to some bowls and apertures that increases dark texture at larger sizes. The italic is not shown; the sample demonstrates strong impact in headlines and short text, where the contrast and sharp serifs remain the defining features.
