This serif displays pronounced thick–thin contrast with a subtly calligraphic, sheared stress that shows through in rounded letters. Serifs are bracketed and crisp, with tapered joins and occasional teardrop-like terminals that lend a carved, bookish finish. Capitals are stately and relatively broad, with clear triangular forms in A and V/W and strong horizontal serifs anchoring E/F/T. Lowercase shows a moderate x-height and lively modulation, with a double-storey a, a compact e with a small eye, a looped g, and a long, elegant f that rises above the x-height; overall spacing reads open and even, supporting comfortable text color.

It suits long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a refined serif texture is desired, and it scales well for headlines and pull quotes thanks to its crisp contrast and broad capitals. It can also support heritage-leaning branding, packaging, and formal printed pieces such as programs or invitations.

The font conveys a classic, literary tone—confident and slightly ceremonial—while retaining warmth from its old-style modulation. It feels authoritative without becoming rigid, making it suitable for content that benefits from tradition and credibility.

The design appears intended to reinterpret old-style, humanist serif principles with heightened contrast and clean, structured serifs, balancing warmth with a more polished, contemporary sharpness. It aims for legibility in text while offering enough drama in stroke modulation to carry display roles.

Curves are notably sculpted, especially in C/G/S and the bowls of b/d/p, which emphasizes the high-contrast rhythm at display sizes. Numerals follow the same modulated, serifed construction and appear well-matched to the caps for titling and editorial use.
