A compact serif with a tall, economical set and low stroke modulation. Stems subtly widen into flared, bracketed terminals, giving the serifs a carved, slightly calligraphic finish without becoming decorative. Curves are taut and controlled, with small apertures and a steady vertical rhythm; capitals are stately and narrow, while the lowercase keeps a straightforward, sturdy skeleton. Numerals and punctuation match the same crisp, print-oriented detailing, with clean joins and consistent weight.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as books, magazines, and long-form articles where a classic serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for headings, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that need a traditional, authoritative feel with a subtly distinctive terminal treatment.

The overall tone feels classical and editorial, suggesting book typography and traditional publishing. Its restrained contrast and crisp serifs convey seriousness and authority, while the flared endings add a quiet warmth that keeps it from feeling overly mechanical.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional serif voice by combining compact proportions and low contrast with gently flared terminals. It aims for a disciplined, print-first rhythm that reads confidently in paragraphs while retaining enough character for editorial display.

In continuous text the type builds a strong vertical texture with tight counters and relatively firm spacing, producing a dense, composed color. Pointed forms (notably in diagonals and apexes) read as precise rather than ornamental, and the flared terminals help define word shapes at display and text sizes.
