A condensed serif with sturdy verticals and clearly flared, bracketed terminals that broaden into the serifs, giving strokes a sculpted, tapered finish. The forms feel compact and tall, with tight sidebearings and a strong vertical rhythm. Curves are relatively taut and controlled, while joins and apexes (notably in A, V, W, and Y) come to crisp points. Counters are moderately open for the width, and the overall texture reads dark and even, with small bursts of flare at stroke endings providing the main articulation.

Best suited to headlines and short-to-medium display copy where a dense, authoritative texture is desirable—magazine titles, editorial pull quotes, book covers, and theatrical or heritage-leaning posters. It can also work for brand marks and packaging that want a traditional serif feel with extra punch in a narrow footprint.

The tone is confident and editorial, with a slightly old-world, poster-like gravitas. Its condensed build and emphatic terminals create a dramatic, attention-getting voice that still feels rooted in bookish, traditional serif conventions.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif voice in a space-saving, high-impact width, using flared stroke endings to add character and emphasis without relying on extreme contrast. It prioritizes strong silhouette and display presence while maintaining familiar serif proportions for readability in larger sizes.

Lowercase shows a compact, workmanlike structure with a single-storey g and a strongly curtained, footed look on vertical strokes. Numerals appear robust and legible, matching the condensed, high-impact color of the text. In running sample text, the dense texture suggests it will look strongest with comfortable tracking and generous line spacing.
