This serif presents a traditional, high-contrast structure with sharply tapered, bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic stress. Stems are sturdy while hairlines and joins thin out dramatically, giving the forms a crisp, engraved look. The capitals feel stately and slightly wide-set, with pronounced triangular or wedge-like terminals on letters such as A and V, and a rounded, generous O. Lowercase shows lively modulation with compact, curved joins and rounded balls on some terminals, producing a textured rhythm in paragraphs; the g and y display expressive, sweeping descenders, while the overall spacing reads open and orderly.

It suits long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired, and it also scales well to display sizes for magazine headlines and refined titling. The high contrast and crisp terminals make it especially effective in print-oriented compositions and elegant, text-forward branding.

The tone is classic and cultivated, with an editorial sophistication that suggests heritage printing and book typography. Its sharp contrast and sculpted serifs communicate formality and confidence, while the slightly spirited lowercase details keep it from feeling austere.

The design appears aimed at a conventional text serif with a polished, print-classical demeanor, prioritizing readable paragraph color while adding expressive, high-contrast detailing for a more luxurious finish in larger sizes.

In the sample text, the font maintains strong word-shape clarity and a consistent vertical rhythm, with punctuation and numerals matching the same contrast and serif language. The numerals appear oldstyle-influenced in feel, harmonizing with the lowercase’s modulation and adding a traditional, text-centric character.
