A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic rhythm. Stems taper into fine, bracketed wedge serifs, and many joins show gentle swelling and soft transitions rather than abrupt terminals. Curves carry a diagonal stress, with open counters and slightly elastic spacing that gives the line a lively, handwritten cadence while remaining clearly typographic. The figures and capitals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant, sharp entry/exit strokes and smooth, rounded bowls.

Well-suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, pull quotes, and subheads, and it can also serve as a primary text face when a classic, high-contrast texture is desired. It reads best in print-like contexts, literary branding, and long-form layouts that benefit from a refined, traditional serif presence.

The overall tone is bookish and cultivated, evoking traditional print and editorial typography with a subtle human touch. Its energetic italic flow feels expressive and courteous rather than dramatic, lending a sense of refinement and warmth.

The design appears intended to translate broad-pen italic characteristics into a polished serif for reading and display, balancing elegance with a natural, human cadence. It prioritizes graceful movement, tapered detailing, and a classical text-like color over rigid geometric regularity.

The italic angle is steady and consistent across cases, and the lowercase shows a flowing, pen-informed construction with compact, pointed terminals. The uppercase maintains formality but retains the same tapered, slightly flared endings, helping headlines and emphasis feel cohesive with text settings.
