A heavy, high-contrast serif with bracketed wedges and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Curves are full and slightly softened, with frequent teardrop and ball-like terminals (notably on letters such as a, c, f, and g), giving the face a warm, ink-trap-free solidity. Uppercase proportions feel traditional and steady, while the lowercase shows a compact rhythm with rounded bowls and a single-storey g. Numerals are sturdy and oldstyle-leaning in feel, with strong weight distribution and clear interior counters at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and prominent titling where its weight and contrast can be appreciated. It can also support classic-leaning branding and packaging, especially when a confident, heritage serif voice is desired. In longer passages it will perform more as a strong display text face than an unobtrusive body type.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a distinctly editorial presence. Its bold massing reads as assertive and slightly old-world, evoking bookish authority and heritage branding rather than minimal modernism.

The letterforms appear designed to deliver a conventional serif structure with extra impact and character, using high contrast and expressive terminals to maintain readability while adding a recognizable editorial signature.

The design relies on strong silhouette cues—deep joins, generous bowls, and lively terminals—so it holds up best when given space to breathe. At very large sizes the quirky terminal shapes become a defining personality trait, adding a subtly decorative flavor without tipping into novelty.
