This typeface is a high-contrast serif with tapered, subtly flared stroke endings and clean bracketed joins. Stems show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with thin hairlines that stay crisp and continuous in both capitals and lowercase. The capitals are moderately wide with sharp, triangular terminals on letters like A, V, W, and Y, while round forms (C, O, Q) are smooth and evenly tensioned. The lowercase keeps a traditional rhythm with a two-storey a and g, a compact, slightly calligraphic ear on g, and small, neat serifs that often resolve into wedge-like points rather than flat slabs. Numerals share the same contrast and finishing, with angled tops and tapered feet that give the figures a lively, engraved feel.

It performs well for editorial typography—books, long-form articles, and magazine layouts—where its contrast and crisp detailing can add sophistication. The sharp terminals and sculpted serifs also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and formal printed matter such as programs or invitations.

The overall tone is polished and bookish, balancing elegance with a slightly sharp, incisive edge from its pointed terminals and bright contrast. It reads as classical and authoritative, with an editorial sophistication suited to cultural or institutional contexts.

The design appears intended to evoke a traditional, literary serif voice with modern sharpness: strong contrast, finely drawn hairlines, and tapered, flared finishing that references calligraphic and engraved letterforms while remaining clean and contemporary in setting.

In text, the font maintains a steady baseline and consistent color, while the tapered terminals add sparkle at larger sizes. The ampersand is prominent and decorative, and the punctuation and dots appear sturdy enough to stay visible against the fine hairlines.
