A high-contrast serif with tapered, slightly flared stroke endings and crisp bracketed serifs that feel carved rather than geometric. Curves are smooth and fairly narrow, with a traditional contrast model and clean joins; the uppercase shows steady proportions and a restrained, classic rhythm. Lowercase forms keep a conventional structure with a compact, readable x-height, while details like the two-storey a, looped g, and the angled descenders add a subtly calligraphic bite. Numerals share the same sharp, sculpted finishing, mixing sturdy verticals with pronounced hairlines for an elegant, print-oriented color.

Well-suited to magazine and book typography where a classic serif voice with extra contrast can add sophistication—headlines, subheads, and pull quotes in particular. It can also serve in branding and packaging that need a refined, heritage-leaning tone, and it performs best when given enough size and spacing for the hairlines to stay crisp.

The overall tone is editorial and literary—polished, authoritative, and slightly dramatic due to the strong thick–thin transitions. It reads as traditional and cultivated, with a hint of sharpness that can feel fashionable or ceremonial when set large.

This design appears intended to blend a traditional serif foundation with more sculpted, flaring stroke endings, creating a refined display-and-text companion that feels at home in editorial settings. The emphasis on sharp terminals and bright contrast suggests a goal of elegance and presence without departing from familiar, readable letterforms.

Pointed apexes (notably in A, V, W) and tight interior counters create a crisp silhouette, while the terminals and serifs widen gently, giving the face a distinctive flared finish without becoming heavy. The sample text shows consistent texture and clear word shapes, with enough contrast to add sparkle while maintaining stability in longer lines.
